I love art. I love networking with other artists. However i really need to stop looking at everyone else and feeling as if my art is second rate. So many times i log in and feel really intimidated by all the really awesome pieces i see, but then again traditional art is a dying breed. I enjoy what i do and its all about my expression whether or not others like it or not. so there. LOL

I feel the same way sometimes. Especially cuz an awesome photographer is living in the same hall as I am. Lot's of times it's hard to appreciate my own work when all I can do is compare it to others. It's something I'm trying to change.

Hmm. I only dropped by to thank you for faving and such. Ah well.

I'm with ~CinderDragon here - I came by to thank you for your collection add and wound up reading your journal post. We've all been there - I'll wind up looking at a few of my friends' work and just about die of embarrassment when I compare their color sensibility or their composition to my own. There's always a bigger fish - and anyway, why do you do it in the first place? There's such joy in being able to make the things you want to see.
Lovely work - your abstracted portraits are great, such as your featured "Claiming Enlightenment", and I've got a soft spot for mythology to begin with, so the Amaterasu and Neptune images are a lot of fun. Keep it up!
